Our company affiliate in the agrochemicals business, Trans World Agro-Products Corp., was established in early 1988, with Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan as joint venture partner. This affiliate focused mainly on product development and agricultural market research. Towards late 1988, the distribution and sales of agrochemical products began, initially supplying only the banana and pineapple plantations. In 1990, sales to the general farm market in the Mindanao area started. In 1995, sales then commenced in the Visayas. In the following year, Luzon was also included, thereby completing our agricultural chemicals national distribution network.
